FAQs
- Do you take insurance?
I am not paneled with insurance companies at this time and am therefore considered an out-of-network provider. Check with your insurance carrier about whether you have out-of-network benefits you would like to use. - How do I know if I have out-of-network benefits?
You will need to contact your insurance provider directly to fully understand your out-of-network coverage by dialing the member services number on the back of your insurance card. Click here to access a list of questions to ask your insurance provider about out-of-network coverage. - How does out-of-network coverage work with my insurance?
Use this handout as a guide to speak directly with your insurance carrier about your insurance benefits prior to our first appointment. If your insurance plan does have out-of-network benefits that you would like to use, I will ask that you pay at the time of service and I will provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. - Can I use my health savings account (HSA) and/or my flexible spending account (FSA) to pay for services?
Yes! - Can I use a credit card and/or debit card to pay for services?
Yes! - When is payment due?
Payment is due at the time of service.
- What if I can’t afford your rate?
If you are unable to afford my rate due to financial hardship, please don’t let this discourage you from contacting me! I offer a number of openings to individuals who are experiencing financial hardship and rates may be adjusted accordingly using a sliding scale. If I am not able to accommodate your current financial circumstances, I can place you on my waitlist and/or provide you with a list of referrals. - What is your cancelation policy?
I require 24-hour notice for cancelations to avoid any late-cancelation fee. No-shows and cancelations under 24 hours will be responsible for the full session fee.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item.
You can also ask your health care provider and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling an item or service. If you receive a bill at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
